Words didn’t fall from the sky. They were coined. They contain histories. They are the landmark products of thought processes, the rest-signs of journeys. They move on, long after we die. They were something else centuries ago and they will be something else centuries from now as human being twist, turn, defined and redefine as appropriate to moment, place, culture and prerogative(s) at hand.
They were born on Delft Island, they live on Delft Island and will die on Delft Island. They can jum if they want to but they won't indulge in 'island-hopping'. No way! Noble. Absolutely.
Jumping is not the problem. We know very well that the human mind is ever changing. Some take money or positions and change, some change when their positions are taken away or not given as expected, some may change because of reasoning or conscience.
But the real test of being noble or not is about being able to speak the truth about your enemy camp, be it good or bad. Same about your current friends. In what garments do you dress them up?
For the first time, I am seeing JVP in better light than any of these other heroes. Right now, today, far more noble than the JHU in that sense.
